If you are interested in a property, you can click apply to rent in the Viewings section of your dashboard. This button will open a conversation with the landlord in the Message Centre. You can then tell the landlord you are interested. If the landlord wants to proceed, they will invite you to apply.
A tenant cannot begin the application process without an invitation from the landlord.
If invited, you will receive an email invitation to begin the rental application process. Only one tenant (or group of tenants) can be invited to apply, as they will be asked to pay a holding deposit.
In their application, the lead tenant will provide details of all applying tenants, including:
- Full name, telephone number, email address
- Gender and date of birth
- Current residential address
- Employment details
- Financial history
They will also need to confirm:
- Their available move-in date
- Whether they need a guarantor
- They can provide a positive landlord reference
They will be asked to verify a UK bank account and confirm they want to move into the property by paying a holding deposit of one week’s rent.
