Win £250 Every Quarter — How the Tenant Rewards Draw Works
An article explaining how tenants can earn entries into the quarterly £250 prize draw by paying their rent on time via Pay By Bank. It covers how the draw works, why only Pay By Bank payments qualify (platform tracking limitations), the history of the £2.35 fee (predates the draw by over a year), transparent odds based on actual entry numbers (~1 in 150 chance per quarter for tenants paying all three months), how to track entries through the Payment Activity screen, prize payment details, and full terms and conditions.
Tenant Rewards Draw
What it is
Every quarter, we give away £250 cash to one tenant who paid their rent on time using Pay By Bank. It's a random draw. One winner per quarter, four winners per year.
This isn't a reward scheme where everyone gets something back. It's a prize draw with long odds. Most quarters, you won't win. But every quarter, someone does.
How it works
Pay your rent on time via Pay By Bank, and you're automatically entered. No forms to fill out, nothing to claim. Your entry goes in, and at the end of the quarter, we draw a winner at random.
The more months you pay on time in a quarter, the more entries you get. So if you pay on time in April, May, and June, you'll have three entries for the Q2 draw.
Why Pay By Bank only?
Pay By Bank is the only payment method we can track through our platform. When you make a manual bank transfer, the money goes directly from your bank to your landlord's bank. We never see it, so we can't verify the timing or add you to the draw.
It's not that we don't want to include manual transfers. We just can't.
About the fee
Pay By Bank costs £2.35 per payment. That fee has been in place since we launched the service over a year ago. It covers the cost of running instant bank-to-bank transfers, which cost us thousands of pounds every month to operate.
The prize draw launched in March 2026. We didn't introduce a new fee or increase the existing one. We just added the draw on top of what was already there.
So the fee isn't paying for the draw. The draw is us trying to give a bit of that fee back.
The actual odds
Let's be straight about this. Based on our first month, we had around 150 Pay By Bank payments. If that holds steady, a typical quarter would have around 450 entries total (150 payments × 3 months).
If you pay on time all three months in a quarter, you'd have 3 entries out of roughly 450. That's about a 0.67% chance of winning, or roughly 1 in 150.
Your expected value from entering is about £1.68 (£250 divided by 450 entries, multiplied by your 3 tickets). The total fees you'd pay across those three payments would be £7.05.
So no, this isn't going to save you money. The math doesn't work that way. This is a prize draw with long odds, not a cashback scheme.
But someone wins £250 every quarter. It probably won't be you. But it could be.
How to enter
When you're ready to pay your rent, choose Pay By Bank from the payment options screen. The payment clears instantly, and your entry is added automatically.
If you choose Manual bank transfer instead, the payment is free but takes up to 3 days to clear and doesn't earn an entry.
Tracking your entries
Go to Payments → Payment Activity in your account. You'll see:
- A countdown to the next draw
- Your entry for each month of the quarter (shown as a Ticket ID if you've paid, or "No Ticket" if you haven't)
- Your total entries for the current quarter
- Past draw results and winners
Each quarter has three months. So Q2 2026 covers April, May, and June. Pay on time in all three months, and you'll have three entries for that quarter's draw.
If you win
We'll email you and send an in-app message. The £250 is paid by bank transfer within 5 working days. You don't need to claim it or contact us. We'll handle it.
The alternative
If you'd rather not pay the £2.35 fee, you can use manual bank transfer instead. It's free, but you'll need to remember to pay each month yourself, and it can take up to 3 days to arrive. No draw entry, but no fee either.
What we're thinking about
We know the £2.35 fee isn't ideal, and we know the prize draw doesn't offset it for most people. We're looking at other ways to provide value to tenants who use Pay By Bank, but we're not there yet.
For now, this is what we've got. One winner per quarter. Long odds. But it's something.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to sign up?
No. If you pay on time via Pay By Bank, you're in.
Can I enter if I pay by manual transfer?
No. We can't track manual transfers, so they don't qualify.
What counts as "on time"?
Your payment needs to arrive by your due date. Pay By Bank clears instantly, so if you pay on or before the due date, you're in.
How many entries can I get per quarter?
One per on-time payment. Most tenants pay monthly, so that's typically a maximum of three entries per quarter.
When is the draw?
Around 5-7 days after the end of the quarter. So the Q2 draw (covering April, May, June) happens in early July.
What if I miss a month?
You can still win. You just have fewer entries for that quarter, which means slightly lower odds. There's no minimum number of entries required.
How will I know if I've won?
We'll email you and send an in-app message. You don't need to check back.
How is the prize paid?
£250 cash, by bank transfer, within 5 working days of the draw.
