Win £100 Every Month — How the Tenant Rewards Draw Works

An article explaining how tenants can earn entries into the monthly £100 prize draw by paying their rent on time via Pay By Bank. It covers how the draw works, why only Pay By Bank payments qualify (platform tracking limitations), the history of the £2.35 fee (predates the draw by over a year), transparent odds based on actual entry numbers (~1 in 150 chance per month for tenants paying every month), how to track entries through the Payment Activity screen, prize payment details, and full terms and conditions.

Tenant Rewards Draw

What it is

Every month, we give away £100 cash to one tenant who paid their rent on time using Pay By Bank. It's a random draw. One winner per month, twelve winners per year, £1,200 given away annually.

This isn't a reward scheme where everyone gets something back. It's a prize draw with long odds. Most months, you won't win. But every month, someone does.

How it works

Pay your rent on time via Pay By Bank, and you're automatically entered. No forms to fill out, nothing to claim. Your entry goes in, and at the end of the month, we draw a winner at random.

One on-time Pay By Bank payment earns you one entry into that month's draw. Pay on time every month, and you'll have an entry in all twelve draws across the year.

Why Pay By Bank only?

Pay By Bank is the only payment method we can reliably track through our platform. When you make a Pay By Bank payment, the bank's platform alerts our platform within seconds that a payment has been made, with the funds following shortly after. That instant confirmation is what lets us verify the timing and add your entry automatically.

With a manual bank transfer, our platform has to wait for the payment to clear, which can take up to 3 days. That delay means we can't reliably confirm a manual payment was made on time, so it doesn't qualify for the draw.

About the fee

Pay By Bank costs £2.35 per payment. That fee has been in place since we launched the service over a year ago. It covers the cost of running instant bank-to-bank transfers, which cost us thousands of pounds every month to operate.

The prize draw launched in March 2026. We didn't introduce a new fee or increase the existing one. We just added the draw on top of what was already there.

So the fee isn't paying for the draw. The draw is us trying to give a bit of that fee back.

The actual odds

Let's be straight about this. Based on our payment volumes, a typical month has around 150 Pay By Bank payments, which means around 150 entries in each monthly draw.

If you pay on time, you'd have 1 entry out of roughly 150. That's about a 0.67% chance of winning that month, or roughly 1 in 150.

Your expected value from a single entry is about £0.67 (£100 divided by 150 entries). The fee on that payment is £2.35.

So no, this isn't going to save you money. The math doesn't work that way. This is a prize draw with long odds, not a cashback scheme.

But someone wins £100 every month. It probably won't be you. But it could be.

How to enter

When you're ready to pay your rent, choose Pay By Bank from the payment options screen. The payment clears instantly, and your entry is added automatically.

If you choose a manual bank transfer instead, the payment is free but takes up to 3 days to clear and doesn't earn an entry.

Tracking your entries

Go to Payments → Payment Activity in your account. You'll see:

  • A countdown to the next draw

  • Your entry for the current month (shown as a Ticket ID if you've paid, or "No Ticket" if you haven't)

  • Past draw results and winners

Pay on time each month, and you'll have an entry in every monthly draw.

If you win

We'll email you and send an in-app message. The £100 is paid by bank transfer within 5 working days. You don't need to claim it or contact us. We'll handle it.

The alternative

If you'd rather not pay the £2.35 fee, you can use a manual bank transfer instead. It's free, but you'll need to remember to pay each month yourself, and it can take up to 3 days to arrive. No draw entry, but no fee either.

What we're thinking about

We know the £2.35 fee isn't ideal, and we know the prize draw doesn't offset it for most people. We're looking at other ways to provide value to tenants who use Pay By Bank, but we're not there yet.

For now, this is what we've got. One winner per month. Long odds. But it's something.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to sign up?

No. If you pay on time via Pay By Bank, you're in.

  • Can I enter if I pay by manual transfer?

No. Manual transfers can take up to 3 days to clear, so we can't reliably verify the timing, and they don't qualify for the draw.

  • What counts as "on time"?

Your payment needs to arrive by your due date. Pay By Bank clears instantly, so if you pay on or before the due date, you're in.

  • How many entries can I get?

One per on-time payment. Most tenants pay monthly, so that's one entry per monthly draw.

  • When is the draw?

Shortly after the end of each month, the winner will be notified soon after.

  • What if I miss a month?

You simply won't have an entry for that month's draw. There's no penalty, and you're back in as soon as you next pay on time via Pay By Bank.

  • How will I know if I've won?

We'll email you and send an in-app message. You don't need to check back.

  • How is the prize paid?

£100 cash, by bank transfer, within 5 working days.
