Why do I need to put my council tax band in my advert?

In February 2022, the National Trading Standards announced that council tax bands must be included in all property listings.

This is part of the National Trading Standard's compulsory "material information", aiming to give homebuyers and renters more information about a property before taking the next steps.

All property adverts from 1 June 2022 onwards must include council band tax.
