Who pays for referencing?

Under the Tenant Fee Ban, tenants cannot be charged for reference checks. Paying for this service is the landlord’s responsibility. Two comprehensive reference checks are included in Basic, Essential or Complete plan or can be purchased separately.

 

If the tenant withdraws after submitting their reference form, their holding deposit will be retained to cover the costs of the reference checks.
