Who hands over the keys?

It is the landlord’s responsibility to arrange key handover. The landlord may choose to do this themselves, or ask a friend, employee or relative to do so. They can also arrange a key handover with a professional check-in service. This involves a professional inventory clerk handing over the keys and asking the tenant to sign a check-in document to confirm the condition of the property.
