Who can be a guarantor?
A guarantor can be anyone the tenant knows, such as a friend or relative, who meets the income requirements of the property and has a good credit history. They do not need to be a homeowner, but they must live in the UK and give their consent before giving their details.
Just like a tenant, guarantors must undergo reference checks to confirm they are suitable. Guarantors must earn 36 times the monthly rent to qualify as a guarantor.
