Under the Basic, Essential and Complete plans, a tenancy deposit is collected via the lettingaproperty.com platform and registered and secured with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) in England and Wales and with Safe Deposits Scotland in Scotland in accordance with their terms.
Outside of our account with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) or Safe Deposits Scotland, lettingaproperty.com are not liable for any loss suffered if you fail to comply with any legislation or guidance pertaining to tenancy deposits.
The deposit will be returned within 15 working days of written consent from you and your tenant.
If a dispute regarding the tenancy deposit has been raised between you and the tenant and is unresolved within 15 days, it will be submitted to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme or Safe Deposits Scotland's independent case examiner for adjudication.
If you do not renew your letting plan or continue to collect rent via lettingaproperty.com, your deposit will be transferred to another account with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) or Safe Deposits Scotland in your name, or back to the tenant (after confirmation) if the tenancy is ending.
