How much notice should I give my tenant before property visits?

Landlords must give tenants at least 24 hours’ written notice before any visits to the property. This includes visits from contractors, or the landlord themselves. It is recommended to give tenants as much notice as possible so the necessary arrangements can be made if needed.

Tenants are legally entitled to ‘quiet enjoyment' of their property and are not obligated to accept unannounced visitors. Landlords can give notice of property visits through the Message Centre.
