How do I find out when a tenant can move in?

It’s best to find out what date a tenant is looking to move when you meet your tenant at the property viewing. If you don’t find out at this point, you can always contact them via the Message Centre.

When you invite a tenant to apply to rent, you must confirm the date that the tenant can move in. During the application process, the tenant must review the tenancy details and confirm that they are happy with this proposed date. If they want to request a different date, they can contact you via the Message Centre.

The move-in date does need to be confirmed before the tenancy agreement is issued for signing.
