Home emergency cover terms

These terms form part of our wider Terms of Business and should be read alongside applicable letting plan termswebsite and platform termsuser terms and privacy policy.

Home Emergency Cover is included in our Complete plan only, or purchasable as a standalone product.

Under the Complete plan, you will receive home emergency cover for the term of the agreement. This provides up to £500 of cover per claim, for up to five claims per policy year. No claims can be made within the first 24 hours of the policy.

Assistance is available 24/7, from a qualified tradesperson who can attend the property in the event of an insured emergency. Further information regarding what is included in Home Emergency Cover can be found here:

You acknowledge that Home Emergency Cover is not a maintenance cover. It is a cover for applicable property emergencies only. You should read the full policy to ensure your issue is covered before making a claim.

lettingaproperty.com do not hold any responsibility for the outcome of any claim. Any complaint procedure should be followed according to the policy wording document. 

We are not responsible for any work conducted under the cover. If a particular issue you have is not covered, we are not required to provide you with alternative cover. 

What to do if you need to make a claim

In the event of an emergency, an insured person should contact our dedicated emergency assistance helpline straightaway on 0800 999 4205.

This helpline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All calls are recorded for training purposes.

Please have ready your risk address and the name of the organisation that has arranged the cover i.e. Legal Protection Group Ltd.
