Do I receive rent if my property is vacant?

If you do not currently have a tenant, you will not receive rental income for your void period.

Landlords on the Essential and Complete Plans can only proceed with Rent Protection if they have a tenant who has signed a tenancy agreement.

If, however, your tenant abandons the property and does not pay the rent, the unpaid rent will be covered by Rent Protection for a maximum of six months (for Essential and Complete Plan landlords).
