Do guarantors need to sign the tenancy agreement?

The guarantor does not need to sign the tenancy agreement, but they will have to sign a separate guarantor agreement. The landlord is also required to sign this document. The guarantor will receive a copy of the tenancy agreement so they have a copy of the terms that they are agreeing to.
