These are the terms for comprehensive reference checks under the Basic, Essential or Complete plan, or purchased as a standalone product. They form part of our wider Terms of Business and should be read alongside applicable letting plan terms, website and platform terms, user terms and privacy policy.
When a potential tenant has applied to rent your property via the lettingaproperty.com platform, you can invite them to begin reference checks. This consists of:
- An employment check
- A 6-year credit check
- A landlord reference check
Guarantor references can also be conducted where necessary and with your consent. Where applicable, a company reference will be conducted if none of the above applies.
These references are carried out by our third-party referencing partner and the results will be presented to you for approval via the lettingaproperty.com platform. You acknowledge that the results are taken from third-party sources and whilst the sources we use are credible, we cannot be held responsible for the results.
During the referencing checks, your property will be taken off the market and marked as Let Agreed.
Referencing under the Basic, Essential and Complete plans includes two reference checks. Any further reference checks required will cost £49.00 inc VAT, payable in advance.
If you withdraw any time after the applicant has started their reference checks, you must pay £49.00 inc VAT.
