When does the tenant pay the holding deposit?

For landlords on the Basic, Essential and Complete plan, tenants will be asked to pay a holding deposit once their application to rent has been completed. Tenants can only apply to rent if they have been invited to do so by the landlord.

 

The holding deposit is paid through the lettingaproperty.com platform. Once a tenant has completed their application and paid the holding deposit, the landlord will receive an email notification to let them know. Only one holding deposit can be taken per property.
